What is an Inclusive Cooking Group?
We welcome tweens and teens with additional needs to join this fun, engaging, and empowering cooking group!
"Cooking with The Color-Coded Chef curriculum goes beyond the kitchen—it's an opportunity to foster decision-making, teamwork, social skills, sequencing, and more while improving motor skills, speech, and behavior.

Who benefits from an Inclusive
Cooking Group?
Does your child have additional needs that impact their executive functioning skills? Do they enjoy cooking but find the process challenging and sometimes frustrating?
Would you like your tween or teen to improve their ability to follow directions, be organized, sequence, and execute a plan?
If you answered, "Yes," to any of these questions, this might be the perfect group for your child.
What activities do you do in this group?
Each week your child will develop real life, hands on experience by prepping, cooking, and cleaning up after a new meal, dish, or dessert. The group will collectively decide on what's on the menu the following week.
The "Be a Chef" group uses the Color-Coded Chef curriculum! This specialized curriculum "empowers individuals with intellectual developmental delays to cook confidently and learn essential life skills through a step-by-step, color-coded recipe format. Say goodbye to measurement confusion and hello to a simplified cooking experience".

New Group Starting January 2026
This group is for new & existing clients.
Pre-registration is required.
Screening of new clients required.
Group Meets 1X/week for 6 weeks.
When: Tuesdays at 4pm: January 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, February 3rd, 10th
Where: 695 Berkmar Circle - Charlottesville
Cost: $540 for 6-week group. (Only $90 per session)
