OT/Speech Co-Treatment

"Regulation and communication go hand in hand." Kerri Heilman, OTR/L

Why OT/Speech Co-Treatment?

Many children benefit from the intervention of an Occupational Therapist to promote sensory integration, modulation, and praxis so they can better access the skills needed for communication. Children who are not engaged or who are dysregulated may struggle to meet speech and language goals.

Who Benefits from an OT/Speech Co-Treatment?

Those diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), and/or ADHD are just a few examples of kiddos we've seen thrive using this treatment model.

Milestones On The Go is proud to partner with Rivanna Therapy Services to provide co-treatment opportunities for children who benefit from a multidisciplinary approach.
